Ethical Influence of Great Leaders:

What makes a great leader? We’ve all worked with various leaders and managers in our professions, some more skilled than others. Good leaders are often defined as intelligent, empowering, inspiring, and successful. But what about ethical? In a 2016 article posted on AboutLeaders.com, we learn that “a true measure of leadership is the ethical influence the leader has on his or her followers, or stakeholders.” Here at Merit Leadership, we believe in teaching ethics as a skillset and empowering leaders to be more effective at work. Take a few minutes to read the article below and learn about other defining behaviors of an ethical leader, such as having guiding principles and communicating with care.
